Adverse Childhood experiences and brain development: How to match interventions with what the developing brain

Understanding the impact of advserse experiences on the youth we serve has become best practice standard of care for behavioral health services.  Although many trauma specific interventions and evidence based practices exist in our field, the intentional use of trauma informed care can directly impact and assist with supporting post traumatic growth and healthy brain development.   This four hour workshop will offer a foundational overview of trauma informed care and the impact truama informed care has on the devleoping brain.  Particpants will be able to practice adjusting specific qualitative features of trauma informed care to target healthy brain development.
